Classic Pirate Captain
Overview
Some men drift from port to port — not because they have nowhere to go, but because nowhere can hold them.
This weathered corsair, wrapped in a dark brown coat and wearing the sea's history on his face, looks more like a legend than any polished statue could. It's not the shine that makes a pirate iconic. It's the detail — and this figure delivers a surprising amount of both.
Figure Design
The palette runs on dark brown, anchored by navy blue, red, and silver — restrained, layered, and worn-in. Every color earns its place.
Front: The deep navy vest carries fine reddish-brown pattern lines across the chest. The circular belt buckle is printed with a convincing metallic sheen — sharp against the blue base. A red sash cuts across the waist, and a neat column of silver rivets lines each coat cuff. The detail density here is well above what this price point usually delivers.
Back: A white cross-lace pattern recreates the inner garment's corset-style back — individually drawn, not a blur. The red sash wraps around to the rear, and a silver button row runs down the full coat length. Front-to-back print continuity is solid; no obvious dropout between panels.
Legs: Dark brown base with a leather boot print on the front — consistent with the coat color and grounded in the overall scheme.
Head: Long dark brown dreadlocks are braided with blue and yellow beads and accented with silver ring ornaments. The face print is precise: kohl-rimmed eyes, a trimmed goatee, a defined mustache, and an expression that reads as knowing rather than aggressive. Three heads are included — the main head wears a removable dark brown tricorn hat; the two alternates show an angry (brows furrowed, jaw set) and a neutral (steady, composed) expression. Three distinct reads, same figure.
Included Accessories
- Silver cutlass: Polished metallic finish, black guard — hold it forward for a duel stance or lower for a sauntering pose
- Dark red flintlock pistol: Deep wine-red body with visible engraved scrollwork, silver metal details on barrel and lock — one of the more convincingly detailed pistols in this scale
- Black scabbard (red stripe): The cutlass fits inside, giving you a clean display option with the sword sheathed and the pistol drawn — or go full combat with both weapons out
Display & Play
A natural fit for pirate ship decks, harbor tavern MOCs, or Caribbean-themed dioramas. The three-head system lets you shift between a calculating rogue, a furious combatant, or a composed navigator depending on the scene. The deep brown coat sits quietly under warm display lighting — not a showstopper from across the room, but detailed and rewarding up close.
Collector Highlights
- Three heads, removable hat: More expression flexibility than most single figures — the tricorn removes cleanly to switch between headwear looks
- Full-color realistic palette: Dark brown, navy, red, and silver recreate the worn, layered look of a career buccaneer — no shortcuts with monochrome coating
- Back print holds up: The cross-lace detail and silver button row on the back are drawn at the same resolution as the front — every display angle earns it
- Complete weapon loadout with scabbard: Cutlass, pistol, and a functional scabbard that actually stores the sword — the set works as a complete display unit, not just a parts pile
